If the skipper is prevented from going on board due to an insured event/ circumstance, the costs of the entire charter sailing trip will be compensated with a deduction for the payable excess (deductible). If a crew member is unable to board the boat, this insurance will pay the appropiate proportional amount of compensation less the payable excess (deductible). The curtailment of travel during the sailing trip is also insured.
The unused proportion of the charter fee, less the excess, is covered by this insurance. The costs of travel to and from the location can also be insured.

ImportantPlease always make sure to cover the total sum of costs. In case of including travel costs (e.g. flights) add these completely to the price of the charter. If the total amount of costs is exceeding the sum insured, the insurance will not pay in case of a claim.
Regardless of whether the illness is triggered by a pandemic or not, insurance cover exists in principle (according to ABRV conditions) in the event of unexpectedly severe illnesses before the start of the journey. However, interventions by higher authorities and thus also the consequence of quarantine orders are excluded and can only be co-insured with our Corona Quarantine Supplementary Insurance. If you were able to rebook your trip with your charter company due to the current situation, this does not count as a new booking for the insurer. The closing date of the travel cancellation insurance and also of the insolvency insurance of 14 days after booking the trip refers to the originally booked trip and not to the date of issue of the rebooking! Please contact us in case of rebooking.
